Please wear suitable sturdy footwear or wellies in case the field gets a bit muddy.

Please walk up if possible as the fewer cars on site helps stop the field being churned up. Thank you.

Greetings to one and all, as once again we prepare ourselves for one of the busiest days of the year, yes, it’s Village Day 2017!

The theme this year will be “UNDER THE SEA”, a subject that I know will be well received and I am sure participating floats and walkers will reflect this in the Village Day parade.

Attractions this year include, an Animal Corner, Dance and Gymnastic displays, Live horse stunt riding by the amazing Guido Louis Leidelmeyer and traditional favourites such as the Codicote School Maypole Dancers along with some new attractions AND MUCH MUCH MORE.
As usual, the fun starts at 13.00 pm with our Village Day Parade arriving at the field for the traditional “Best Float” competition and the Grand Opening by the super-talented 2013 Britain's Got Talent Finalist and UK Top Ten Artist Gabz!

Once again, on behalf of Codicote I would like to thank the Village Day committee and all the volunteers, whose outstanding efforts make this day so special.

All that remains for me to do is wish you all a very Happy Village Day 2017.

1.00pm Parade starts

1.45pm float judging

Hidden on the High Street 2017

As you know, the theme for village day this year is under the sea so the Codicote pixies & fairies have hidden a number of magical items around the village and we need your help to find them. We know where they are but we don’t know what they have hidden. Can you help to tell us? The items will be hidden in the windows or another location you can see from the street. In some places there may be more than one item – so write down all the things you see (or how many of the same thing).

As a thank you for your help, the children who correctly list the most items will win some amazing prizes.
You just need to fill in the table downloadable below telling us what you can see in each place and hand it back to the school office by Monday 24th July. The winner will be notified at the start of next term.
